Attendance:         
Students should not miss more than 3 classes to obtain a passing grade.   If you miss more
than 3 classes you may make them up by attending classes at the dojo(school) downtown
(422 South Broadway) on Monday night,  class time for making up misses is 7:30 to 8:30pm
for Beginning Class, and 8:30 to 9:30 for Intermediate Class.

Tests:
There will be only one test at semester’s end, actual date will be posted 2 weeks before test
day.   If you want to you will be able to take an official rank test in Shito-ryu Genbu-kai at that
time.  For the official ranking test there will be a fee to cover the cost of your new belt and the
ranking certificate.

During the semester there will be handouts dealing with different topics of karate-do.

Clothing:   
Karate gi (uniform) is suggested but not required for beginners, who may
wear loose exercise clothing.
